On The Come Up...Mainstream Underground Artist - Traum Diggs

In the era of ringtone rappers and declining music sales many of us long for a time when rap was less about politics and publicity and more about beats and rhymes. Traum Diggs captures the essence of a forgotten era on his second installment of The Throwback Series. This followup to 2007's Episode One (www.traumdiggs.com/shop), features Diggs rhyming over classics from Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, KRS-One and even Jay-Z and R.Kelly. His ode to "The Gloved One", aptly titled "Mike Jackin' 4 Beats" is generating a strong buzz already and is just a peak into the lyricism and artistry that Traum Diggs has to offer.

A native of East Flatbush, Brooklyn, NY, Traum Diggs, the son of Caribbean immigrants, fell in love with hip-hop at an early age and became completely immersed in the culture almost immediately. Traum Diggs’ style is a perfect marriage of the two cultures and a true reflection of his upbringing. His approach is pure nostalgia without losing sight of hip-hop’s ever changing landscape. His versatility and integrity as an emcee/songwriter allow him to cover a wide range of subject matter without fear of contradiction.
